Join our grassroots campaign focused on transparent solutions, local business support, and building a stronger, more connected Buellton for everyone.
We believe in the power of grassroots organizing. Every conversation at the doorstep helps shape our priorities. Our campaign is currently endorsed by: The Santa Barbara Democratic Party, The Sierra Club, The Central Coast Labor Council, and there are many more supporters and allies on the way! Thanks to all of you for helping to make this happen.

Why I'm Running
A vision built on listening and local action.
Billy is running to ensure that every resident of Buellton has a strong, independent voice at the table. From supporting local entrepreneurs to improving public spaces and maintaining quality services, the focus is always on practical and transparent progress.

Rooted in the community with a commitment to maintaining our town's unique character. Billy has been a Special Education Teacher at Santa Ynez Valley Union High School for the past 22+ years. Go Pirates!

Dedicated to open communication and keeping decisions accessible to all. The agenda is service, listening more and speaking through action. Billy has served as the Buellton Education Association President for the past two years. Billy has also been honored recently as an award winner as Santa Barbara County Education Mentor of the Year.

Focused on promoting small local businesses to thrive, ensuring our city economy remains vibrant and resilient for years to come. Billy aims to ensure that residents have access to needed resources as well, and families can raise the next generation with a high quality standard of living.

Representing a district with such jewels as Riverview Park and the Buellton Botanical Gardens, Billy is mindful of the need for balance between a vibrant, growing community and our desire to maintain our beautiful small town feel.

Billy's agenda for serving on the council is simply this: Listening more and speaking through action. As a long time local resident, honoring your input and considering the views of various stakeholders will always be the priority. He pledges to serve through proactive, consistent engagement and thoughtful collaboration.
Local Business Support
Fostering an environment where small businesses can thrive, create jobs, and enrich our local economy. I pledge to work extensively with our Chamber of Commerce to promote Buellton as a valley destination.
Sustainable Growth
Planning carefully for the future while preserving the unique charm and natural resources of Buellton. I am in full support of the SYV trail project, the Children's Museum, a revitalized downtown area, and promoting District 1's Botanic Gardens and Riverview Park.
Open Communication
Ensuring that town hall decisions are accessible, clear, and involve resident feedback at every step. I will listen and respond to resident concerns and priorities, including facilitating a local CERT program to promote resident safety and disaster response.
Community Safety
Investing in local resources, improved infrastructure, and programs to keep our neighborhoods secure. Working with local law enforcement to monitor speeds into town, traffic, and ensuring resident families are safe.

Family
My wife brought me to the valley in 2000, as we started our family, raising our two young men in this amazing place to call home. Working as a Special Educator at Santa Ynez Valley Union High School for 22+ years, with Cassie serving our County as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, and two budding authors in Ben and Noah (who will pay for my retirement once published), our city has blessed my family and I am excited to serve and give back to our community.

Nash: My big lug Tuxedo
We'll always have a Tuxedo in our family. I have a soft spot for this gentle giant, who is my confidant (and I think can read my mind).
Smokey: Queen of the Castle
My unofficial manager. Runs daily, orderly operations, starting with my morning bath before breakfast.
Knox: Our shy rescue
Cassie is a crazy cat lady and Knox is one of her MANY rescues over the years. Our sweetheart loves backyard siestas and watching bugs.
Sunny Bird
There's no doubt I'm her human. Daily head scratches and kisses are required...or else!
Dewey: Our little "tornado"
Our newest rescue, this little boy thinks he's in charge. Loves wrestling with Nash (who outweighs him by about 20 pounds)!
